Objectives

This project aims to define collaboration strategies for the valorisation of industrial waste and the implementation of sustainable programs in waste management. The main goals are to:

• Alert companies to the opportunities for waste recovery and by-product disposal;
• Support waste producers in the transformation of waste into by-products;
• Create an environment that unites the interests of waste producers with the technical skills of the entities of the Scientific and Technological System;
• Credit and effectively disseminate sustainable solutions for waste management which are not freely available on the market without that support.

With these well-defined objectives, the aim of this project is to create a platform for credibility, stimulus and dissemination that encourages not only the creation of additional value from the incorporation of available waste and by-products, but also the promotion of economic sustainability for the developed products.

This platform constitutes an important tool for the creation and transfer of knowledge between companies and entities of the Scientific and Technological System for the development of a network of knowledge and experience that promotes economic recovery and improves the quality of industrial production.

In truth, the economic crisis that Europe is still facing, and the responsibilities associated with waste management, suggests a moment of opportunity for this project.
