This Privacy and Security Policy aims to inform you how are used, how can be updated, managed or eliminated personal data, as well as ways to get in touch with those responsible for the treatment of these. Your data is processed by ITeCons - Institute of Research and Technological Development for Construction, Energy, Environment and Sustainability, among other partner entities (third parties) that assist in this treatment.
Responsible for the processing of personal data
ITeCons is responsible for collecting, processing, preserving, anonymizing and / or deleting the personal data of its associates, partners, customers or suppliers. Any question regarding the use of personal data, should be presented to the email address privacy@itecons.uc.pt. In compliance with its responsibilities, and in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation, ITeCons will notify the National Data Protection Commission (CNPD), whenever it becomes aware of any violation of personal data under its responsibility
What information do we collect?
The Shared Waste Solutions (SWS) home page can be viewed without the need for any personal information. However, in order to use all the platform potentialities, you will need to register on the Shared Waste Solutions (SWS) platform. The mandatory personal data we collect in the act of registration are the email and the name.
How do we use the information we collect?
The data collected is intended for the management of services provided by the Shared Waste Solutions (SWS) platform. They are entered into the computer system, where they are processed and processed automatically in accordance with the General Regulation on Data Protection 2016/679 of April 27, 2016
How can you update, manage, export, and delete your information?
You can access and update your data in your personal account. You may request a copy of your data from the Shared Waste Solutions (SWS) platform or the deletion of the same by means of a written request to the following address: privacidad@itecons.uc.pt.
The third parties
ITeCons in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation may transmit personal data under its responsibility to third parties. In these cases, ITeCons only relies on subcontractors who provide sufficient guarantees to perform appropriate technical and organizational measures in a way that the treatment meets the requirements of this Privacy and Security Policy and ensures the protection of the rights of the holder of the personal data.
How do we protect information?
The circulation of personal data carries risks, such as: unauthorized access, misappropriation, misuse, loss and alteration.
ITeCons has mechanisms to mitigate these risks, without prejudice to the fallibility of Internet security measures and other tools used by ITeCons and subcontractors.
We highlight the main measures of protection of personal data:
Personal data shall be kept only for as long as they are deemed necessary for the purpose for which they were collected, from which time they shall be anonymised or destroyed. Upon request by the data subject, this period may be changed. In case of legal imposition regarding the period of retention of data, only the right to erasure can be exercised after that period.
What rights does the owner of the personal data have?
As already mentioned, the Owner of the personal data may request from ITeCons the data in our possession to request the updating of the same data and request the deletion of the same. However, whenever there is a period of retention of data imposed by law, ITeCons reserves the right not to execute the request of the holder of the personal data, informing it of the reasons. The holder of the personal data has the right to submit a complaint or exhibition, to the Control Authority in Portugal, to the National Data Protection Commission (CNPD).
Final dispositions
ITeCons may, without prior notice, amend this Policy by virtue of the need to adapt it to any legislative changes or recommendations of the CNPD. The security and privacy policies of ITeCons are reviewed and improved periodically. Only duly authorized persons have access to the information provided by our users. The ITeCons databases are located in the European Union.
